Skerryback Farm

Overview

Skerryback Farm
(B&B)
£35.00 - £40.00
(Sandy Haven, St Ishmaels, Haverfordwest)
2 double en-suite bedrooms
Peaceful 18c Pembrokeshire Farmhouse set in a sheltered garden on the coastal footpath and ideal for visiting the bird sanctuaries of Skomer & Skokholm.

Whatever the season, whatever the reason Skerryback is the perfect place to stay, in winter, with its bracing coastal walks and in the summer its sheltered sunny garden and flower bedecked cliffs .

A short walk down the road is the sheltered creek of Sandy Haven with its oyster catchers, little egrets and herons fishing in the stream and children catching crabs off the bridge.

Follow the path through Sandy Haven wood and along the coast and you will come to the steep cliff path leading down to the sandy beach of Lyndsway. On a little further is Monk Haven, and nestling in the valley behind the old monastery walls is the ancient church of St Ishmaels, and so the coast path goes on, something different around every corner.

Just a short drive away

A very special day out is a trip to Skomer or Skokholm Islands, in summer they are carpeted in flowers and the puffins just have to be seen.

Skerryback is a good base for seeing the whole of Pembrokeshire with its wealth of activities, golf in Milford Haven, a superb riding centre at Nolton Haven, and endless water sports. In the south are the castles of Pembroke, Manorbier and Carew also Tenby and Caldey Island and for young family members there is Folly Farm, the Dinosaur Park and Oakwood.

A coast drive north takes you through Little & Broad Haven, Nolton Haven, Newgale where the wind surfers have a rough ride through the surf & Solva to the smallest city in the country with the remains of the Bishop's Palace and its unique cathedral dedicated to the patron Saint of Wales, St David.

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation

Two attractive double en-suite bedrooms, with tea/coffee facilities & colour TV, look out across horses grazing in the meadow. The lounge is for guests’ use only with a real fire on chilly evenings and lots of information on where to go and what to do.

Breakfasts are a real treat using Pembrokeshire Produce whenever possible, the ideal way to start the day.

Whatever your choice you will receive a warm Pembrokeshire welcome at Skerryback with tea/coffee and cake on arrival, served in the garden or the lounge depending on the weather.
